Summer Sundays 2019

During the school summer holidays we are continuing the series exploring Encounters with Jesus through an exciting range of all-age services.

Sunday 28th July       Jesus & the desperate - Mark 5: 21-43

You don't have to be desperate to come to this service!  David Lever is helping us to explore this story with a walk around quiz suitable for just about all ages. The walk will stay near the school, children must be accompanied by an adult. There will also be a stay-put version in the hall.

Sunday 4th August      Jesus & a blind man (Holy Communion & Baptism) - Mark 8: 22-26

Phil & Kath Cooke are leading a creative communion service, which will also include celebrating with Sarah, Tom & Lydia the baptism of Evelyn Jones.

Sunday 11th August    Jesus & Simon Peter - Mark 8: 27 - 9: 1

Anne Taylor & Becca Williams will enable us to engage with this encounter in a service which will be reflective, creative & will include music from Taize.

Sunday 18th August    Jesus & the children - Mark 10: 13-16

Jars of Clay Lifegroup will bring their joy, insights & creativity to this service. Special appearances from the Warner family and puppets!

Sunday 25th  August    Jesus & the rich man - Mark 10: 17-31

Breakout!  Fun interactive worship for ALL!  Bring your smartphone...
Toys for preschoolers in the service.  Also with the option for some adults to 'break out' for something more specifically 'grown up' if they prefer. Children must be accompanied during the service.

Sunday 1st Sept        Jesus & Bartimaeus (Holy Communion) - Mark 10: 46-52

Ruth Foulsham, Kath & Phil will encourage us to reflect on the summer & pray for the term ahead that we may all see & encounter Jesus afresh.
